There are 57 women from a wide variety of visual arts.
From Artemisia Gentileschi and Frida Kahlo to Louise Bourgeois and Marina Abramovich.

Its a beautifully illustrated book, of optimal size and weight.
Each character has only one and a half pages of text, but each one has well-chosen works.
So the illustrations say more words.
It is written, however, fascinating-easy and simple, about life and creativity.
The selection is interesting, big names and those who dont known at all.
There is a dictionary of terms, a timeline with the most important events in the history of the women's movement, inspiring quotes -
